Mobile Oil Change & Tune-Up
Mobile Oil Change & Tune-Up in Barstow & the High Desert
Routine maintenance is what keeps a vehicle out here lasting 250,000+ miles. We do full-service oil changes and tune-ups at your home or office — synthetic, blend or conventional, with the right filter and the right interval for how you actually drive.
Why the 'every 3,000 miles' sticker is wrong for most cars
Modern engines running full synthetic generally go 7,500–10,000 miles between changes — some longer. Older trucks and engines that haven't been on synthetic should typically stick closer to 5,000. We follow what your manufacturer actually specifies, not what the quick-lube wants to sell you.
That said, High Desert driving is hard on oil. Heat, dust, short trips and long highway pulls all push oil temps up. If you commute heavy, tow, or live somewhere extra dusty (Hinkley, Newberry Springs, dirt roads in Apple Valley), we usually shorten the interval a little.
What's included in a full-service oil change
We drain the old oil, replace the oil filter with an OEM-quality unit (not a flimsy off-brand), refill with the manufacturer-spec weight and quantity, reset your oil-life monitor, and check tire pressures, lights, wipers, air filter, cabin filter, brake fluid, coolant level and serpentine belt condition. Used oil and filter are recycled — we don't leave anything in your driveway.
If we spot something developing, we tell you so you can plan for it — we don't surprise-bill you.
What a real tune-up looks like in 2026
'Tune-up' on a modern car isn't points and condenser anymore. For most vehicles it means spark plugs (typically every 60k–100k for iridium), ignition coils if testing shows weak output, air filter, cabin filter, throttle body cleaning, and a fuel system cleaner run through the injectors. On higher-mileage engines we'll often recommend a transmission fluid service and a coolant flush at the right intervals.
We'll tell you what your specific vehicle actually needs at its current mileage — not a one-size package.
Why mobile is better
Oil changes are the lowest-stakes mobile job and the highest-convenience. Skip the waiting room, skip the 'we found 8 things wrong' pitch, get the right oil and the right filter, and get on with your day.
What it costs

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you use synthetic oil?+
Yes — full synthetic, synthetic blend, or conventional, whatever your manufacturer specifies. We carry common viscosities and bring exactly what your vehicle needs.
How often should I change my oil out here?+
Most modern cars on full synthetic: 7,500–10,000 miles. Older engines or heavy dust/towing use: closer to 5,000. We tell you straight based on your vehicle and driving.
Can you do an oil change at my apartment complex?+
Yes, as long as we have a level spot to work. We bring our own drain pans and clean up completely — no oil spots left behind.
What's actually in a 'tune-up'?+
Depends on the car. Modern engines: usually plugs, filters, throttle body service, fuel system cleaner. We'll tell you what's actually due based on mileage and condition — not a one-size-fits-all package.
